Gold futures finished lower on Wednesday, despite softer dollar and treasury bond yields. The bullion's dip mainly accounts to profit taking at prevailing levels. Meanwhile, the yellow metal for the most active contract had rose to a day high of $1,929.80 an ounce tracking negative trend in US wholesale inflation and retail sales figures.
Gold futures for February fell by $2.90 or 0.20% to settle at $1907.00 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. However, spot gold rose by 0.33% or $6.24 to $1,910.35 per ounce.
