Gold futures finished higher on Thursday, supported by weakness in dollar and Treasury bond yields. However, technical correction after back to back losses amid dip in US inflation rates pressured the yellow metal to retreat from nine month high rate.
Gold futures for February up by $16.90 or 0.90% to settle at $1923.90 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. However, spot gold down by 0.36% or $7.05 to $1,925.19 per ounce.
