Gold futures finished higher for fourth straight session on Tuesday, kindled by the safe haven appeal of the bullion on recession fears and on accelerated hopes over less aggressive Federal Reserve.
Gold futures for February rose by $6.80 or 0.4% to settle at $ 1935.40 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. However, spot gold declined by 0.24% or $4.69 to $1,932.67 per ounce.
