Asian Markets trade mostly higher in early deals on Friday

Most of the Asian Markets traded higher in early deals on Friday, kindled by the optimism after better-than-expected US GDP numbers and a stronger than anticipated economic activity in the quarter four. Japan’s Nikkei advanced in the session counting on positive trend in Wall Street overnight as worries over global recession faded. Meanwhile, the benchmark indices are on track to gain for the third straight week amid a global equity rally and the BOJ’s firm commitment to massive stimulus.

Nikkei 225 up by 23.70 points or 0.09% to 27,386.45, Straight times rose 14.46 points or 0.43% to 3,391.65, and KOSPI enlarged by 16.73 points or 0.68% to 2,485.38, Jakarta Composite enlarged by 64.28 points or 0.94% to 6,929.10.

On the flip side, Hang Seng down by 11.51 points or 0.05% to 22,555.27 and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI lower by 3.99 points or 0.27% to 1,494.40.
