Nifty February futures saw an addition of 0.64 million (mn) units taking the total outstanding open interest (OI) to 14.06 mn units. The near month February 2013 derivatives contract will expire on February 28, 2013.
From the most active contracts, Reliance Communications February 2013 futures were trading at a premium of 0.95 points at 67.35 compared with spot closing of 66.40. The number of contracts traded was 12,563.
Tata Motors February 2013 futures were trading at a premium of 1.45 points at 297.20 compared with spot closing of 295.75. The number of contracts traded was 13,512.
Tata Steel February 2013 futures were at a discount of 0.15 points at 381.45 compared with spot closing of 381.60. The number of contracts traded was 16,125.
DLF February 2013 futures were at a premium of 1.10 points at 255.20 compared with spot closing of 254.10. The number of contracts traded was 16,452.
LIC Housing Finance February 2013 futures were at a premium of 1.55 points at 252.80 compared with spot closing of 251.25. The number of contracts traded was 12,883.
