Indian rupee trades flat against US dollar on Wednesday

Indian rupee was trading flat against the US dollar on Wednesday due to Union Budget presentation today. Investors are also awaiting the outcome from the US Federal meeting later in the day. Meanwhile, the Economic Survey 2022-23 said rupee may remain under pressure on account of plateauing of exports and subsequent widening of the current account deficit. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the capital market on Tuesday as they offloaded shares worth Rs 5,439.64 crore, exchange data showed.

The partially convertible currency is currently trading flat at its previous close of 81.88 on Tuesday. The currency touched a high and low of 81.8850 and 81.7725 respectively.
