Physical Rubber prices witnessed some weakness on Thursday due to decline in demand from domestic industrial buyers following looming recession fears globally. Meanwhile, the Rubber Board of India has announced plans to expand natural rubber cultivation area by an additional 200,000 hectares over the next five years.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety unchanged at its previous closing of Rs 141.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety fell to Rs 139/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 139.50/ kg.
