Physical Rubber prices witnessed weakness on Friday amidst low demand from domestic industrial buyers following looming recession fears globally. Meanwhile, the Rubber Board of India has announced plans to expand natural rubber cultivation area by an additional 200,000 hectares over the next five years.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to Rs 141/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 141.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety fell to Rs 138.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 139/ kg.
