Asian markets settled mostly higher on Tuesday, despite concerns that the US Fed might keep interest rates higher for longer to combat inflation. Investors are awaiting the US Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s speech at the Economic Club of Washington later in the day. Continued optimism surrounding China's reopening supported Chinese equities. Meanwhile, Japanese shares ended almost flat as Japanese’ yen rose after data showed that Japan's real wages rose in December for the first time since March.
