United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has completed inspection at FDC’s manufacturing plant located at B-8, MIDC Industrial Area, Waluj, Aurangabad, Maharashtra, which manufactures sterile ophthalmic products from February 6, 2023 to February 12, 2023.The said audit has been successfully completed by the USFDA with No observations (Zero 483’s). The audit was carried out for the sterile ophthalmic products being marketed in the US.
FDC made a modest beginning with marketing of vitamins and a range of prescription formulations. The company subsequently set up their formulations manufacturing facility and also pioneered the manufacture of specialized ophthalmic formulations in India.
