Persistent Systems enters into strategic agreement with Hewlett Packard

Persistent Systems has entered into a strategic agreement with Hewlett Packard (HP) to license its HP Client Automation (HPCA) software. This technology acquisition underscores Persistent Systems’ commitment to expand its IP portfolio and further strengthen its expertise in PC Lifecycle Management (PCLCM), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Mobile Device Management (MDM).

HPCA is a scalable PC configuration lifecycle management solution used by large enterprise to automate routine client management tasks such as operating system deployments and upgrades, patch management, application software deployment, application usage monitoring, security, compliance and remote system management. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Persistent Systems will be responsible for the products roadmap and intends to invest in product development, extending all existing aspects of the product including Mac support and Mobile Device Management (MDM) functionality. HP will resell the Persistent Systems' solution which will be a Persistent Systems branded solution.

It delivers services across all stages of the product life-cycle, which enables it to work with a wide-range of customers and allows it to develop, enhance and deploy its customers’ software products.
