22 Feb 2023 Evaluate
Indian rupee weakened against the US dollar on Wednesday, tracking weakness in domestic equities with cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve minutes. However, fresh foreign fund inflows into capital market and a weak American currency at overseas markets limited further fall in rupee. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) emerged as net buyers in the capital markets on Tuesday as they bought shares worth Rs 525.80 crore, exchange data showed.

The partially convertible currency is currently trading at 82.80, weaker by 1 paise from its previous close of 82.79 on Tuesday. The currency touched a high and low of 82.8350 and 82.7900 respectively.
