Gold futures finished lower for fifth straight session on Friday and posted fourth consecutive weekly loss after the chances of Federal Reserve being more hawkish intensified after hotter than expected personal-consumption expenditures price index (PCE). Moreover, stronger dollar and US Treasury Bond yield notes dulled investment appeal of the bullion.
Gold futures for April dipped by $9.70 or 0.5% to settle at $1817.10 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold lower by 0.62% or $11.24 to $1,811.04 per ounce.
