Copper futures trade higher despite strong US dollar

27 Feb 2023 Evaluate
Copper futures traded higher on Monday, even as the US dollar strengthened with expectations that US interest rates could stay higher for longer to cool off stubbornly high inflation. Ongoing supply disruptions across the globe supported copper prices to trade in green.

Copper futures for May delivery gained $0.01 or 0.25% at $3.9630 a pound on the comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
