Asian markets settled down on Tuesday as recession fears mounted following the Silicon Valley Bank collapse, while investors are awaiting US inflation data later in the day for clues on the path for interest rates. Japanese shares declined by tracking mixed US shares overnight. Moreover, Chinese and Hong Kong shares declined with caution after reports suggested that Chinese President Xi Jinping is planning to travel to Russia to meet with his counterpart Vladimir Putin as soon as next week.
