Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi, who speaking at the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting today asked the BJP leaders to be ready for a ‘strong fight’. He said that the more the party rises and wins, the more attacks there will be from the opposition.
The party’s parliamentary meeting was held this morning in the Parliament complex. This was the first time this meeting took place during the session’s ongoing second half. The meeting began with BJP MPs congratulating PM Modi on leading them to three significant victories in the recently concluded Assembly elections in the northeastern states. The party leaders congratulated PM Modi on the party’s victory in Tripura, Meghalaya, and Nagaland, where they have a coalition government.
PM Modi’s remarks come as the opposition continues to demand a JPC on the Adani-Hindenburg issue. The opposition members continue to call Rahul Gandhi's disqualification as MP from Lok Sabha an attack on democracy. In an attempt to show unity, the opposition parties protested against the Centre over the Adani Group issue wearing black attire and marched from the Parliament complex towards Vijay Chowk in the national capital yesterday. While, BJP and NDA MPs continue to attack the congress party and Rahul Gandhi for insulting Veer Savarkar and OBC community.
