Copper futures trade lower on firm dollar

03 Apr 2023 Evaluate
Copper futures traded lower on Monday as a firm US dollar made copper more expensive for non-dollar holders. Copper prices weakened further on demand worries from top consumer China, following data that China's Caixin/S&P Global manufacturing purchasing managers' index fell to 50 in March, down from 51.6 in February.

Copper futures for May delivery lost 0.98% or $0.04 at $4.0545 a pound on the comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
