Gold futures ends lower as dollar picks up

Gold futures ended lower on Monday, pressured by the strength in dollar and Treasury bond yield notes. Meanwhile, participants eyed on cues about Federal Reserve’s monetary policy decision in May.
  
Gold futures for June dipped by $8.80 or 0.43% to $2007.00 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. However, spot gold added $4.14 or 0.21% to $1,999.33 per ounce.
