Physical rubber prices improved further on Tuesday reacting favorably to the reports on import duty and a sharp recovery in stock markets.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety improved to Rs 159/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 157/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 154/ kg, compared to its previous closing of Rs 152/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of March delivery improved to Rs 158.59 compared to its previous closing of Rs 156.79, while April delivery closed at Rs 163.05 compared to its previous closing of Rs 161.48 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
