The FIIs on Tuesday were net buyers in equities and in debt segment also, according to data released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 2440.10 crore against gross sell of Rs 2321.50 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 118.60 in equities on May 31, 2011.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 1234.20 crore with gross sales of Rs 657.20 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 577.00 crore in debt on May 31, 2011.
