ACC has inaugurated its subsidiary -Vizag Cement Works, in the Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (VSEZ), Andhra Pradesh on March 8, 2013. The new subsidiary has a slag grinding unit in the VSEZ and it is the 18th cement plant of ACC in the country.
The cement maker had acquired 100% stake in the equity of Encore Cements & Additives, in January 2010, which then became its wholly-owned subsidiary and was renamed as Vizag Cement Works. Trough this initiative company was able to build its presence in Andhra Pradesh and in the coastal parts of Odisha.
