Asian markets closed the shutter on a mixed note, after better-than-expected US non-farm payroll data boosted sentiment, but Shanghai Composite dipped in red and ended lower as disappointing economic data fuelled concerns about China's economy. Moreover, weakness in Shanghai also impacted Hong Kong market. South Korean market also went home with red mark as exporters once again suffered along with the weaker yen. Japan’s Nikkei, closed higher, weighted by exporter companies’ gains as the dollar continued to remain at multi-year highs against the yen.
