ABB expands production of solar inverters by opening new production line

In a bid to support the rapidly growing local photovoltaic (PV) market, ABB has expanded the production of its solar inverters by opening a production line in India. The company has already delivered first order from the new production line and also booked orders over 200 megawatts (MW).

 The new production line for the company’s central inverter PVS800 product range was opened at the ABB facilities in Bangalore, India at the end of 2012. The production capacity of the line is more than 500 MW annually.

ABB is a global leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact.
