JSW Steel reports 11% growth in crude steel production in February 2013

JSW Steel’s crude steel production in February 2013 increased by 11% and stood at 6.75 lakh tonnes against 6.09 lakh tonnes in February 2012. The steel maker has reported the production of rolled products - flat stood at 5.14 lakh tonnes, an increase of 14% on year-on-year basis, while on the other hand the production of rolled products - long stood at 1.32 lakh tonnes, a decrease of 14%, compared to 1.54 lakh tonnes in February 2012.

JSW Steel is part of the JSW group which, in turn, is a part of the O P Jindal group. JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
