Asian markets settled mixed on Thursday, tracking surprise rate hike by Bank of Canada. Meanwhile, investors were cautiously awaiting upcoming US consumer inflation report and Federal Reserve meeting for directional cues. Japanese shares declined following sell off in technology shares on Wall Street overnight. However, Chinese shares gained on hopes of stimulus measures in China, while investors were awaiting Inflation reading due later in the day.
