Just in: Retail inflation surges to 4.81% in June vs 4.25% in May

The country’s retail inflation, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), increased to 4.81 per cent in the month of June 2023 as compared to 4.25 per cent in May 2023. The consumer food price index (CFPI) jumped to 4.49 per cent in June from 2.91 per cent in May. Rural inflation stood at 4.72 per cent while urban inflation stood at 4.96 per cent.
