HCL Tech surges on bagging contract from Ford

HCL Technologies is currently trading at Rs. 791.10, up by 16.00 points or 2.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 775.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 787.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 792.65 and Rs. 786.65 respectively. So far 20893 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 804.50 on 18-Mar-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 453.90 on 26-Jun-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 792.65 and Rs. 760.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 55115.15 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.13% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.20% and 7.67% respectively.

Replacing TechTeam Global, HCL Technologies, country’s fourth-largest information technology (IT) Services Company, has reportedly bagged 5 years long infrastructure management services contract from US-based automaker Ford Motor Company, the value of which is estimated to be close to $100 million.

Earlier, TechTeam Global, a Michigan-based IT services company, was providing IT infrastructure management and support service to Ford. Apparently, the company bagged the contract when it came for renewal this year.
