Asian markets end mostly higher on Friday

28 Jul 2023 Evaluate
Asian markets ended mostly higher on Friday on account of Chinese stimulus expectations after the housing minister said the country needs more effective implementation measures such as lower home mortgage rates and down payment ratios for first-time home buyers to help spur home purchases. Seoul shares gained marginally, despite data showing that South Korea's factory output fell more than expected in June. Although, Japanese shares declined by Wall Street’s overnight fall following worries over continuation of interest rate hikes in the United States, while the Japanese yen rose after the BOJ said that it will adopt a more flexible approach to controlling bond yields, by allowing them to trade fluctuate beyond its target range.
