Opto Circuits surges as its arm inks pact to sell Diagnostic Cardiology product line

Opto Circuits is currently trading at Rs 61.35, up by 1.05 points or 1.74% from its previous closing of Rs 60.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 60.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs 63.25 and Rs 58.50 respectively. So far 1547076 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 216.90 on 29-Mar-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 43.15 on 27-Feb-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 64.00 and Rs 46.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 1484.21 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 28.17% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.09% and 32.74% respectively.

Opto Circuits’ subsidiary, Cardiac Science, has signed a definitive agreement to sell its Diagnostic Cardiology product line to Mortara Instrument, Inc. for an estimated consideration of $21 million.

The transaction does not include MySense, the novel, wearable, single patient ECG recorder system and the resuscitation business unit that markets automated external defibrillators (AEDs) worldwide.
