Rourkela Steel Plant, a unit of Steel Authority of India (SAIL), has reported 2.5% growth in its FY13 production of hot metal at 2,365,824 tonnes over the corresponding period last year.
Similarly, Rourkela Steel Plant has recorded improvement of 1.7% in production of crude steel at 2,207,282 tonnes and a growth of 3.09% in production of saleable steel at 2,144,344 tonnes over its production in the corresponding period last year.
Further, the company has realized more than 100% capacity utilization in all the three key production areas like hot metal (118.6%), crude steel (116.2%) and saleable steel (128.3%).
