SAIL gains on entering into MoU with KSIDC and KMML

Steel Authority of India is currently trading at Rs 62.15, up by 0.80 points or 1.30% from its previous closing of Rs 61.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 61.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 62.15 and Rs 61.00 respectively. So far 21511 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 101.75 on 25-Apr-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 60.00 on 28-Mar-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 63.90 and Rs 60.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 25340.77 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 85.82% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.16% and 3.02% respectively.

In a bid to set-up titanium project in Kerala, Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has entered into memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) and Kerala Minerals and Metals (KMML).

KMML will be supplying Titanium Tetrachloride for Titanium Sponge and Metal Plant in the first phase, while backward and forward integration will be explored for ensuring long term viability of the project in subsequent phases

After first titanium sponge plant was put up at KMML’s Chavara complex in Kerala in 2011, this will be second major titanium project in Kerala.
