Bharti Airtel trades in green on the BSE

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs 277.60, up by 3.85 points or 1.41% from its previous closing of Rs 273.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 273.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs 279.35 and Rs 271.05 respectively. So far 90283 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 370.40 on 25-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs 238.50 on 30-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 295.00 and Rs 272.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 105742.23 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.50% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.46% and 6.04% respectively.

Bharti Airtel, a leading integrated telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa has to stop offering 3G services across circles where it does not hold spectrum, as the Delhi High Court has vacated a stay order that permitted it to offer 3G services. It has to shut down 3G mobile services across seven circles across the country, where it was offering services through roaming agreements with other companies.

In March, the Department of Telecommunications has ordered Bharti Airtel to immediately stop 3G services in telecom circles where it did not win spectrum in the 2010 auction. After that the court had temporarily halted the execution of the government order after Bharti appealed against it.
