Voltas strengthens on plan to sell 10 lakh air conditioners in current fiscal

Voltas is currently trading at Rs. 76.60, up by 0.85 points or 1.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 75.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 75.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 77.20 and Rs. 75.80 respectively. So far 84360 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 138.50 on 27-Sep-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 73.25 on 22-Mar-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 80.90 and Rs. 75.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2547.81 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.15% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 47.36% and 22.49% respectively.

Voltas, a Tata group firm is all set sell 10 lakh units of air conditioners in the current fiscal against eight lakh units last year. The company has been growing at 20% in the last few years, so it is confident of achieving such growth in the current fiscal too. The entity is also planning to expand its presence in smaller cities and towns further to achieve its growth targets.

The company offers engineering solutions for a wide spectrum of industries in areas such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning, refrigeration, electro-mechanical projects, textile machinery, mining and construction equipment, materials handling equipment, water management & treatment, cold chain solutions, building management systems, and indoor air quality.
