Sistema Shyam Teleservices that provides telecom services under the brand MTS has successfully achieved transition of its New Application Processing system (NAP) in compliance with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) circular in August 2012.
The mandate required an overhaul of the existing customer acquisition process by November 09, 2012, as strict penalties have been instituted by the regulator for failure to comply with the provisions. The entire process involved challenges like complexity of the processes, training of personnel, and manpower- intensive systems. All these were overcome within stringent timelines and without tolerance or error. MTS India employed the services of Intense Technologies, to deliver and deploy the solution.
