Physical Rubber prices witnessed some weakness on Saturday on the back of weak industrial demand against rising supplies from major producing belts at spot market. Meanwhile, the All India Rubber Industry Association (AIRIA) said natural rubber production is expected to increase 5% in 2023-24, from 8 lakh metric tonne in the previous fiscal.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety fell to Rs 143.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 144/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety unchanged at its previous closing of Rs 139/ kg.
