Asian markets settled higher on Tuesday as investors eagerly awaiting US Federal Reserve's Jackson Hole symposium later this week for clues on the outlook for interest rates. Japanese shares gained by tracking Wall street’s gains overnight, while weak yen supported the export-driven stocks. Chinese and Hong Kong shares finished higher tracking strength of the tech sector. However, concerns over deteriorating economic situation in China and prospects of more interest rate hikes by the US Federal Reserve limited the gains.
