Just Dial has informed that the Company has received a letter dated August 31, 2023 from the Office of the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax 2, Mumbai approving the application filed by the Company for Compounding of Offence under applicable provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961 for the Assessment Year 2017-18 (Financial Year 2016-17) and levying compounding charges of Rs 2,02,900 (Rupees Two Lakhs Two Thousand & Nine Hundred Only) in aggregate on the Company and its Managing Director & CEO. The Company had made payment of its complete tax liability along with applicable interest by way of self-assessment tax before filing of Income Tax Return, in May 2017 and November 2017, respectively. The Company has paid the compounding charges which has no material impact on financials and / or operations of the Company.
