Oil India surges on commissioning Rs 360 crore wind turbine plant at Dangri

Oil India is currently trading at Rs 538.60, up by 11.35 points or 2.15 % from its previous closing of Rs 527.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 527.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs 542.00 and Rs 527.25 respectively. So far 5545 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 617.40 on 18-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs 431.00 on 16-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 543.00 and Rs 517.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 32401.23 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.43% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.59% and 15.98% respectively.

Oil India (OIL) has strengthened its footprint in renewable energy segment by commissioning 54 mega watt wind turbine plant at Dangri in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The company has invested about Rs 360 crore in the project and completed the same within 142 days from the date of issuing of letter of award (LOA) to the bidder.

The 54 MW project includes 27 wind turbine generator (WTG) units and each unit has an installed capacity of 2000 Kw. The wind farm is effectively connected to the Rajasthan State Electricity Grid at ‘AKAL’, at a distance of 47 Km from ‘Dangri’ Wind Farm.
