Asian markets finish mostly lower on Monday

25 Sep 2023 Evaluate
Asian markets finished mostly lower on Monday, due to accelerated concerns over Chinese property sector, global economic health woes and rising oil led inflation. Meanwhile, China Evergrande scrapped six creditors meeting in a setback to its debt restructuring plans. Additionally, domestic and foreign investors offloaded their bets ahead of the week-long holiday. Hong Kong's Hang Seng was the worst performer among Asian indices today. Bucking the trend, Japan's Nikkei rebounded from previous session's worst week of 2023 amidst investor optimism on country's economy with the BOJ's ultra dovish monetary policy and weaker local currency yen.
