Hathway Cable And Datacom has informed that, in the assessment order dated September 25, 2023 for FY 2018-19, the Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, DGSTO-5, Bengaluru, Karnataka has disallowed certain input tax credits availed by the Company and has raised a demand of Rs 29,82,183 (including a penalty of Rs 1,43,750 u/s 122(2)(a) of the KGST/CGST Act, 2017). The Company is studying the assessment order and will take appropriate action as legally advised. The financial impact due to the imposition of penalty is Rs 1,43,750. The above order was received by the Company on September 25, 2023 at around 11:10 am. (IST).
