Farmer oppose Haryana Govt’s decision to contain wheat arrival from UP

The Haryana government’s decision to discourage farmers of Uttar Pradesh from selling their wheat in Haryana grain markets has been condemned by a farmer organization. Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) national spokesman this step to stop the arrival of wheat from Uttar Pradesh is anti-farmer and the decision of the Haryana government should be revoked. The Union also threatened to start an agitation against the decision.

In a bid to avoid storage crisis in the state, the Haryana government recently decided to discourage wheat sale by farmers of Uttar Pradesh in its grain markets during the current wheat procurement season.
