Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi has hit out at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar saying that JD(U)'s statement in Delhi's national executive meeting against its leaders was completely unwanted. Further he said that they will discuss the future course of action on April 18 in their national executive meet.

Nitish Kumar indirectly made it very clear that the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is not acceptable as a PM candidate. In his speech, Nitish clarified that only someone who can take all sections of society together can take the top post. Nitish also said if the BJP changes direction, it would create problems for the alliance. In an apparent dig at Narendra Modi for his frequent reference to the Gujarat model of development, Nitish said it accepted as a development even when a developed state grows and stressed that there is a need to see from where a particular state started its development march.
