Aurobindo Pharma’s unit -- Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc is recalling 9,890 bottles of Rasagiline Tablets, a medication indicated for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, from the US. New Jersey-based Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc is recalling the affected lot due to ‘Failed dissolution specifications’.
The company initiated the Class II recall in the US on August 2 this year. As per the USFDA, a class II recall is initiated in a situation in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.
Aurobindo Pharma is engaged in manufacturing pharmaceutical products. It offers active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and generic formulations like astemizole, domeperidone and omeprazole; anti-infective, oral and sterile antibiotics, pain management and osteoporosis segments.
