Physical Rubber prices witnessed some strength on Monday amid firm demand from industrial users at domestic market. Data showed that domestic consumption of natural rubber has reached a record high in 2022-23 at 1,350,000 tons, up 9% from the quantity of 1,238,000 tons consumed during 2021-22, while production for 2022-23 was 839,000 tons, an 8.3% increase from the previous year.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety gained to Rs 147/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 146.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety unchanged at its previous closing of Rs 143/ kg.
