Asian markets finished mostly in green on Wednesday, whetted by the slide in Treasury bond yield notes after dovish comments from Federal Reserve officials ignited optimism over halt in Federal Reserve interest rate hikes. Meanwhile investor confidence picked up after IMF affirmed confidence for a soft landing of global economy amidst central bank measures. Hang Seng stocks finished higher for fifth straight session followed by the Chinese government’s plans to issue of about CNY 1 trillion of additional sovereign debt for spending on infrastructure as part of fresh economic stimulus measures to stem its ailing economy.
