Just in: Retail inflation falls to 5.02% in September vs 6.83% in August

The country’s retail inflation, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), decreased to 5.02 per cent in the month of September 2023 as compared to 6.83 per cent in August 2023. The consumer food price index (CFPI) declined to 6.56 per cent in September from 9.94 per cent in August. Rural inflation stood at 6.65 per cent while urban inflation stood at 6.35 per cent in September 2023.
