Copper futures trade lower on mounting worries over middle east conflict

Copper futures traded lower on Monday, driven by mounting worries over the Middle East conflict and rising inventories. Moreover, firm American currency and potential for additional US Federal Reserve interest rate hikes also adding more pressure on copper prices.

Copper futures for December delivery lost 0.63% or $0.0225 at $3.5405 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
