Physical rubber prices continued to decline on Thursday. Sharp declines in the international markets and the absence of genuine buyers dampened the sentiments further despite a better closing on the commodity futures market.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety continued to decline to Rs 159/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 160/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 155/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 157/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of May delivery improved to Rs 157.54 compared to its previous close of Rs 155.78, while June delivery closed at Rs 157.43 compared to its previous closing of Rs 155.42 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
