During the current procurement season more than 32.09 lakh tonnes (LT) of wheat has so far arrived in grain markets of Haryana state. Out of it, over 32.08 LT of wheat has been procured by government agencies, while about 903 tonnes has been purchased by private millers and traders. The state of Haryana is looking to procure 86 LT of wheat this season.
The government agencies have procured the wheat at minimum support price. HAFED had procured over 11.73 LT of wheat, Food and Supplies Department has procured over 7.79 LT, Food Corporation of India procured over 4.91 LT, Haryana Warehousing Corporation procured over 3.12 LT, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation procured over 2.97 LT and CONFED had purchased 1.53 LT of the crop.
