Physical rubber prices decline further on Tuesday

Physical rubber prices declined further on Tuesday tracking the declines in trend setting futures markets but losses were limited on supply concerns.

Spot prices for RSS- 4 variety declined to Rs. 158/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs. 159/ kg, while RSS- 5 variety closed at Rs. 154/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs. 155/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of May delivery dropped to Rs. 154.90 comapred to its previous closing of Rs. 155.11, while June delivery closed at Rs. 153.68 compared to its previous closing of Rs. 154.12 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
